Pyrophobia

pyrophobie
A forest in the middle of the city, conifers and deciduous trees, shrubs and bushes amongst the service roads: birds are singing, squirrels jump on branches, and a colony of ants march along. All this is interrupted by people jogging, barbequing, playing football, walking, sunbathing, smoking, cycling and reading. This invasion on the forest may be hazardous for its health. Forest fires happen unfortunately, but would the solution be to install fire extinguishers on trees?
There are stories about heroes and the terrible heat and back draft they fight. About men in flames, who risk their lives for the forests and tell about their adventures afterwards, with soot in the hair and a cough in the throat.
This career supposedly becomes redundant when the shiny red fire extinguishers would be placed where they really belong. There is barely a soul who would want to smoke in the hospital or to have barbecue at the airport.
But the woods should be the natural habitat for that.

10 fire extinguishers, some trees, distance can vary. Documented as photography, 8” by 12”
